Waseefa's The Pastry Shop is a cozy café tucked away on a quieter corner of Sam Levy’s Village in Harare, offering a relaxed spot for morning coffee, light lunches, and casual catch-ups. The space is modest, with limited seating, but thoughtfully equipped with power outlets—making it a practical stop for those who want to work or unwind with their digital devices in a warm, inviting environment.

The café attracts a mix of early risers and midday visitors, especially those who appreciate a halal menu and homemade-style pastries. Breakfast options like the spinach, feta, and egg croissant, complemented by a crisp side salad, give a sense of attention to fresh, wholesome ingredients without being overly fussy. For lunch, the crumbed chicken burger and chicken salad stand out for their balance of comfort and nutrition, with the latter offering a vibrant combination of hot, well-seasoned chicken strips, greens, and thoughtful touches like raisins and candied pecans.

Service here leans toward warm and personal, with staff showing genuine enthusiasm, adding to the café’s inviting vibe. While the seating can feel a bit snug, the atmosphere remains charmingly low-key, making it ideal for casual coffee dates or a quiet spot to refresh during a shopping trip. For locals and visitors alike, Waseefa’s fits well as an early morning stop or a relaxed weekday retreat where coffee and food come with a side of friendly rapport.

Lovely for breakfast or coffee dates! Very cute place and it’s halal, Alhamdulillah I enjoyed my egg, spinach and feta croissant and thought the side salad was a cute touch.

Stopped to use their currency exchange...but while the restaurant IS open on Saturday, the exchange is closed. But I stayed for lunch and will come again! The chicken salad was delicious and healthy with wonderfully seasoned hot chicken strips freshly cooked, raisins, candied pecans, avocado, sliced red peppers, iceberg lettuce, cucumbers.... Even my wife would approve!!

The waiter was so lovely and enthusiastic about his job, one of the main reasons I would go back there. The food is affordable and the pastries are amazing.

Quaint coffee shop on the the less busy side of Sam Levy's Village. Limited seating, great coffee and service too. Didn't have any of the food though hence no rating.

The staff is always friendly. Great place to grab a coffee to go or sit and chat with a friend. The selection of pastries is limited though.

It's a cosy pastry place. Loved the service more than the food. Went with a group of friends and it was an afternoon well spent.

Great artisan rolled ice-cream! Tasted better than I expected too. A good experience and worth going to try it. The guy making it has a good sense of humour too... Always helps!
